Relief Operation
Rural Bank of Guinobatan, Inc. provided assistance to families affected by Typhoon Tisoy (Kammuri) in several municipalities in the Province of Sorsogon. Typhoon Tisoy made it’s landfall in Gubat, Sorsogon last December 2, 2019 which left the province with uprooted trees, fallen electrical posts, and damaged structures.
RBGI in action at times of calamity lessening the pain created by typhoons that destroyed Bicolanos shelter and property with the existing pandemic crisis. A relief operations last November 20,2020 at Marcial O Rañola Memorial School (MORMS) ,Travesia Elementary School, and Guinobatan East Central School in Guinobatan Albay that serves as temporary evacuation centers of the affected families. Rural Bank of Guinobatan, Inc. distributed packs of hygiene kits which composed of a dipper, bath essentials, detergent soap to affected families spearheaded by RBGI President, HR, Staff and Marketing Team through the help of Barangay officials. After the devastating Taal Eruption last January 12, 2020, that sent a thick ash fall over Batangas, Cavite, and even reaching some parts of Manila, the affected families had sought temporary shelters in evacuation centers set by the respective LGUs and authorities. The Taal Volcano, one of the Philippines’ most active volcanoes, has affected more than 50,000 people. As part of the humanitarian efforts to help the affected families, Rural Bank of Guinobatan, Inc. distributed hygiene kits to help them with their personal and social life to prevent them from illnesses and diseases.
